held in 'the Municipal Building of the Village of Chubbuck on August 13, 1957.
Present - Frasure, Valenty, Hillman, Ward and Caldwell.
Absent- Fenwick,
Meetin~ called to order 8;30
Yin~tes of the previous meeting then read and approved as read.
Bills for the month peesentes to the Board. Motion to approve payment made by Frasure,
seconded by ~ard. ~ll in favor. Bills were as follows:Richard Hall-9.O9, Callis Caldwell-
35.00,Kruse Insurance-209.OO, County Commissioners-306.00, Pocatello Bolice-2.50, Idah~
Power-6d.32 & 1~3.32, Telephone-12.29,Bair,s Service-lO.37, Continental Oil-13.93,
Sinclair-20.98, Chubbuck Service-8.95 & 9.25, Crane Co.-3.80.
Financial, Police, and Delinquent wager Accounts Reports for month then presented to
the Board.
Old Business- Pump, Ward- lets get the pump fixed. Valenty reported that ge~ ~Allen
has the new equipment to fix the pump.
Hayfield ~irport- Caldwell, we need an opposing council. A resident must bring action
against Board to stop collection of taxes for Village. Board instructed Caldwell to
go ahead with proceedings.
Appeal on Decision of Parcels # 2 & 3 - No appeal. No new annexations at this time.
Leave Village as is and go ahead with election to get new well. Valenty - New Ordinance
to take in Highway and eliminate shoestring to Green Triangle. Motion te authorize
new ordinance made by Valenty, seconded by Frasure. All in Favor,
Starlite Theatre-~did not write to Board for permission for fireworks display.
Fireman Bad, es- not ordered yet.
New Business - Letter from Hamilton read in full by Valenty. Letter on estimate of cost
for well and connection to existing lines. Estimate-$30,O00.O0 . Letter on file.
Letter from Liacolm Ute read in full. Letter en Bond ElectiSn. Letter on file.
New ~ater Connections- John Pierce is putting in new connection. Check and see when
they start using water.
Delinquent Water Accounts- Valenty, Hensley has to get along with the residents of the
Village as Police Officer and maybe we should get a man to check water every month and
shut off the ones not paying their bills. Yotion by Valenty to appoint a man $ $10.00
per month plus one residence connection to turn off delinquent accounts, seconded by
Hillman. All in Favor. Valenty will get man to take the job.
~. Max ~hittier- Hensley reported that ,~hittier was not paid for May. Caldwell will
write to ~hittier and send him a Claim Form. Village will pay when Claim Form is
received.~
Bankruptcy of Fre~ Falter- Letter pertaining to bankruptcy of Fred Falter read in
full by Valenty. Letter en File. Falter owes Village ~39.50.
J. H. Stuart Plat- Studied by Board members. Stuart will give 5 acres (more or less)
for Park. Some points on Plat will have to be cleare~. Caldwell will check legal
details. This meetzng will be recesse~, subject to call when matter is cleared up.
9th & 18th ~ard Bishopric- A "Thank You" letter for lights at Hawthorne and Quinm
read in full by Valenty. Letter on file.
Pump House- Trouble with Power Failure- Valenty, Phone Co. will imstall 2 lines f,r
an alarm system $ $10.00 for installation of lines and Sd. O0 per month if ~ mile or
less.~ Ward- skip the alarm system and fix the present system, Have a key where it can
be easily found. Have motors checked every six months. Hillman- use a circut breaker
instead of fuses, Valenty to call ~ed Allen and if he won't come , get somebody else
to fix it. Hillman suggeste~ Parr Electric, they will come day or n~Eht.
Fire Report- Valenty asked for report on I~nn Bullock Fire. Hensley has the information,
and the report mill be sent in.
Hensley's Injury- Hensley was paid wages for last 12 days of July. He must refund
the ~93.~2 overpa~ent to the General Fun~. Employee makes first report of injury.
Valenty to write letter to Industrial Accident Boar~ to report the accident.
