Financial Report for Month of January 1957 then presented to Board.
Police report for January 1957 then presented to Board.
Old ~usiness - Traffic Control - ~.ittier contacted the State Law
Enforcement and they told h~m the law requires a traffic survey
before they will grant a permit to enforce Traffic Ordinances. He
contacted the Dept. of Hiways and they are going to conduct the
Traffic Survey for the Village.
Application Forms for ~ater Users - ~e forms are ready now and can
be picked up anytime now.
~fi!lard ~llmer ~ater Deposit~$Blaine Swallow paid a water deposit
for the property, and when he sold the property to ~llmers he also
gave them the water right so the Board feels that the deposit of
Swallows, that has never been refunded to him, is to be applied to
Full~.er s Account.
Ju.stice of the Peace- Prosecuting Attorney ~iaguire said that the
County could not set up a district out here till election. ~ittier
said that is not the law and that such a district can be set up at
anytime and that the Commissioners can do it now if the ~oard insists
on it.
Lights at i~tersectfon of HaWthorne &'~Qui~ - '~ard talked to ~et t
Spraker and he wants some of the Board members to come to a meeting
~ith the County Co~issioners and they will see '~hat they can do
about sharimg the expense. ;'lard also talked to Idaho Po.~er and they
gave him scme information which he ~ill try to clarify at t.he ~ext
meeting. ~_e ~oard all agree to go half on the expenses if the County
~-~itl go the other half. ~(oti~n made by ~Jard to authorize the Chairman
of the Board to sign the order for the lights if a satisfactory
arrangement ~ith the County is made. ~otion seconded by Fenwick.
~1! in favor, t~ard Is to contact the Co~missioners and make the
arrangements ,~ith Idaho Power.
R._strooms- E. oard feels that the best way to get the cooperation of
the Rod f,~ Gun Club is for some of ~:he Foard ~,~emhers to go to their
meeting and talk before the m~eting father'than to talk to individual
members of t.b.e Club.
Lz~nts- The light on East ~nubbuck Road a~d also the one on '~.~est
C.~ub~:uck Road are out~ a~d the ~oard appoint~d Art Fen~ick 'tc contact
Idaho Po,~er a~d report the lights out.,
0rdi~a~ce to cover people sleeping in cars- Valenty wamts to know if
it is possible For the Village to draw up an O~dinance ~hereby
ts illegal t~ let people, tF drunk, sleep in a car '~hile the driver
is in an establishment a~d tbs car is unattended. The car is to
be towed to the Court House and the occupants placed in Jail and
the Driver will have to pay the towing charge. If children are
le~t in a car ~nattended they will be taken to the proper place for
unattended children.
Delinquent Water Accounts - A llst of the Delinquent water accounts
was then presented to the Board.
Water Ordinance i~ 37 - Proposed Water Ordinance ~ 37 was then read
~n its entirety by Valenty.
Motion to suspend the rules and read twice by Title made by Ward,
secended by Frasure. Roll Call Vote-

)~ittier then read the Title through twice more. Roll Call Vote
on the passage of Ordinance # 57.

Ne~ Business- Ward has received complaints of the intersection at
Chubbuck Road and Yellowstone Hiway being very slick and slippery
when we have a snow storm. The Board decided to have the City Dump
Truck loaded with gravel and salt and be prepared to sand slick
spots whenever necessary.
