Council of Pocatello, held in the ~unicipal Building o£ .the City of Pocatello
on July 19, 1956. This was the adjourned Meeting of July 10, 1956.
Meeting called to Order at 8:d5 P.M.
Member~ present aere, Fenwick, Ward, Valenty, Frasure and Vilage Attorney
Max ;,hittier. Absent was Hanson.
~r. Valenty explained that it was his understanding that both the Village
Board of Chubbuck and City Council of Pocatello meet to discuss a proposed
resolution of consoliOation.
A goticn has to b~ passed for a joint body resolution for purpose of
consolidation. City Councils of both siaes have to set a time and place for
purposed resolation. ~tesolution must b~ passed by 2/3 o£ all Council members
and Board of Trustees. Ordinance sh~ll be adopted within 2 months,
gotion made by Focatello Ccuncil to set a time and place, a SpeciAl gee~ing
to be in 2 we~ks on August l, 1~56 at 8:00 P. M. in ~unicipal Building in
City of Pocatello. Motion made by Rhoades, s~conded by Yearsley. All in
favor. Object cf meeting - to discuss Ordinance for both sides.
~r. ~ebb, City Manager would like to meet ~ith Village Clerk to see
Village book of Ordinances and Accounts.
