RESOLUTION #5-2000
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, A MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION OF DAHO, AFFIRMING SUPPORT OF THE BUILD-OUT ANALYSIS
PROJECT; RESOLVING TO COOPERATE WITH BANNOCK COUNTY AND THE CITY
OF POCATELLO IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS
WHICH ARE DETERMINED TO BE APPROPRIATE AS A RESULT OF THE FINDINGS OF
THE BUILD-OUT ANALYSIS; RESOLVING TO PROCEED WITH IMPLEMENTATION IN
AN ORDERLY AND TIMELY FASHION WITH CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS,
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN CHANGES, AND/OR ANY ZONING AND SUBDIVISION
ORDINANCE CHANGES WHICH MIGHT BE NECESSARY TO BRING ABOUT THE
DESIRED RESULTS.
WHEREAS, a number of governmental entities and planning agencies have cooperated in
a long-range planning effort for the Greater PortneufRiver Valley, variously referred to as the
"Our Valley-Our Vision" project and the Portneuf area Build-Out Analysis project; and
WHEREAS, the project's aim is to analyze the area's potential for growth, to determine
the desires of the inhabitants in regard to that growth, and to anticipate infrastructure and other
needs to best accommodate that growth; and
WHEREAS, once the project has been completed, the findings made available, and
methods of achieving the desired result have been devised, the cities and county will be called
upon for implementation of various projects;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHUBBUCK AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the City of Chubbuck hereby resolves to cooperate with Bannock County and the
City of Pocatello in the identification of the programs and projects which are determined to be
appropriate as a result of the findings of the Greater Portneuf River Valley analysis project;
2. That the City of Chubbuck hereby resolves to proceed with implementation in an
orderly and timely fashion with capital improvement projects, comprehensive plan changes,
and/or any zoning and subdivision ordinance changes which might be necessary to bring about
the desired results.
RESOLVED this 25th day of April, 2000.
