March 5, 2024 Mayor Kevin England and City Council Members City of Chubbuck 290 E. Linden Avenue Chubbuck Idaho 83202 Dear Mayor England and City of Chubbuck Council Members: First and most importantly, thank you for the generous support that the City Council has provided to Family Services Alliance of SE Idaho (FSA) during previous years. Your fiscal support allows us to provide the best possible victim advocacy and counseling for our Chubbuck neighbors, friends, and family who experience the trauma of violence and abuse. Second, I understand that you are working hard to include funding in the City's budget for FSA. We hope you will maintain your support of $6,000. We are grateful to provide services for clients to heal from their traumatic histories and thrive in our community. FSA not only provides vital crisis intervention but also long-term healing support. Efficiency and effectiveness are key to changing lives for the better. Third, I would like to express my appreciation for your ongoing support of survivors. Our partnership with the City of Chubbuck and Chubbuck Police Department to respond onsite with victims of abuse and violence ensures that victims are able to increase their safety and heal from the trauma of abuse. Offenders of violence often tell their victims they are less than and systematically destroy their victims' self esteems as tactics to gain power over their victims. Your support of survivors, both financially and physically, sends a healing message to victims of abuse working to empower themselves, increase their self -esteems, and heal from the trauma of abuse. Thank you for your ongoing care and concern for all citizens of Chubbuck! Finally, I invite you to stop by our offices and see how we provide free and confidential trauma - informed services to survivors of abuse in our community. Again, thank you for your support! est I egards, ah O'Banion 24 -Hour Crisis Line Our mission is to promote safe and thriving families, 208 -251 -HELP (4357) work to end physical, sexual and emotional abuse and provide victim support. 355 South Arthur Avenue Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Advocacy Pocatello, ID 83204 Victim's Shelter .
