HomeMy WebLinkAboutMeeting PresentationsJoey Bowers Subject: FW: Updated FY24 Budget Numbers Attachments: MX -5071 _20230727_112316.pdf Mayor and Council, We have received the L2 Worksheet from the County. I have included a copy of the worksheet with this email. I have also updated the NOP with the numbers from the L2. Our expectation from the retiring RAA was much higher than what is actually flowing through on the L2, so we have made the proper adjustments. The total budget number we will be presenting Wednesday is $27,040,507. The adjustments were made in the park's renovations and Highway Streets and Roads pavement maintenance. The L2 breaks down the different aspects of the unique circumstances the City finds itself in this budget year. Line 2 represents the available 3% budget growth, $212,884. Lines 8 and Lines 13 are new construction and annexation. Line 16 is what we expect from the retiring RAA and will roll through like new construction. Line 28 represents the amount available in forgone and although not included in the L2 total from the county, we have included that in the total budget we are presenting. A resolution has been prepared for the council to utilize the forgone if the council chooses to do so. I would like to point out line 14 as well. The $141,381,558 is the assessed value from the RAA that will roll back like new construction on to the city's total assessed valued. This number is significantly large enough and the restrictions of 3% growth on any property tax budget year ensure that no matter what level the council decides to fund the city's departments, the levy will go down. Thank you.
