Based on the Street Department's pavement maintenance plan, a pavement maintenance project was
developed and put out for bid. The project includes milling and removal of existing asphalt pavement
and repaving several blocks of streets as shown on the attached map. Bids were opened on 7/27/2023
and the results are shown in the table below:

Sunroc Corporation DBA Depatco. $ 266,665.00
Mikelsen Construction $356,576.60
The City has not had a similar project in the past, so we were unsure of what the cost might be.
However, we anticipated that the cost may be between $300,000 and $400,000. Based on the bids
received, we are likely going to add additional street segments to the project to utilize as much of the
Street Department's pavement maintenance budget as possible.
The low bid appears to be responsive and meets the requirements of the bid documents. It is my
recommendation that the City Council approve the Mayor to award the project and execute a contract
with Depacto in the amount of $266,665.00 for the 2023 Pavement Maintenance Project.
