CALL To ORDER: Mayor England
COUNCIL PRESENT: Roger Hernandez Norman Reece, Dan Heiner, and Melanie Evans.
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Kevin England, City Attorney Ryan Lewis, Fire Chief Merlin
Miller, Interim Public Works Director Bridger Morrison, Community Services Director Devin
Hillam, Police Chief Nick Sasser, Human Resource Director Scott Gummersall, City Treasurer
Rich Morgan, and City Clerk Joey Bowers.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
1. Discussion on the Fire Department and Future Needs.
Fire Chief Merlin Miller went over the daily routine for a firefighter, equipment and
personnel costs, Idaho fire suppression ratings, and future needs. Chief Miller
recommended looking at moving towards having more than one Chief in the future, and
rebuilding the City's capital improvement funds.
2. Discussion on Human Resources.
Human Resource Director Scott Gummersall went over employee retention numbers,
changes to service awards, and changes to the City's vision plan for employees.
