RESOLUTION NO. 2022-0 �/
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, A MUNICIPAL
CORPORATION, GRANTING TO THE MAYOR AND THE MAYOR'S
DESIGNEE AUTHORITY TO EXECUTE CERTAIN CONTRACTS, LEASES,
AND CHANGE ORDERS WITHIN CERTAIN LIMITS IN ORDER TO
FURTHER CITY INTERESTS; AND PROVIDING THAT THIS RESOLUTION
BE EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE.
WHEREAS, the City of Chubbuck ("City") authorizes and approves the City Budget
annual; and
WHEREAS, the City Budget includes funding for Departments and also various City
projects, and the City Council also at times approves specific projects; and
WHEREAS, at times project change orders may become necessary in order to deal with
unanticipated circumstances and contingencies, and to otherwise ensure the City projects
continue to move forward on a timely basis; and
WHEREAS, timely execution of lease agreements may be necessary for City -owned or
City -controlled properties or for Department needs for the benefit of the City; and
WHEREAS, timely execution of minor contracts may be required to provided goods and
services necessary for the benefit of the City; and
WHEREAS, authorizing the Mayor or the Mayor's Designee(s) to enter into such
contracts, leases, and change orders within the budget of the City and related to City
projects or needs, will promote efficiency and timeliness.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Mayor and City Council of the City of
Chubbuck:
1. Change Orders
a. The City Council hereby grants to the Mayor and to the Mayor's
Designee(s) authority to approve change orders provided that they do
not exceed the following cumulative amounts per project:
i. Budgeted or Bid projects of $200,000.00 or less, shall be
limited to 15% of the original project contract estimate or
approved bid amount; and
ii. Budgeted or Bid projects of $200,000.01 or more, shall be
limited to 10% of the original project contract estimate or
approved bid amount.

b. Provided that, the Mayor shall inform the City of any approved
change order over the amount of $200,000.00 within 30 days of such
approval.
2. Contracts and Leases
a. The City Council hereby grants to the Mayor and to the Mayor's
Designee(s) authority to enter into the following purchases and enter
contracts and execute projects that are within a Department's budget:
i. Real property lease agreements for a term of not more than 1
year that do not exceed $15,000; and
ii. Other contracts and purchases that are $50,000 or less.
3. Prior to execution all contracts authorized by this Resolution must be
approved by the Department Director responsible.
4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
by the City Council.
