Re: New Day Parkway Extension Phase 3 — Change Order 2
Two recent changes have been required for the roadway contract for the New Day Parkway Project:
1) A portion of the storm drain system including a treatment box and infiltration bed were
lowered to allow the system to better drain.
2) The City requested that an additional conduit be installed across New Day Parkway to allow
for a connection to the city's city-wide fiber loop and traffic signal interconnect system.
The proposed change order is for $3,895.00. The total amount for this change order and the previous
Change Order No. 1 is $11,617.00. The proposed change order form is attached.
I am requesting the Council approve Change Order 2 for the New Day Parkway Extension Phase 3 project
in the amount of $3,895.00.

Description:
A) To make the south invert of Catch Manhole Sta. 26+75 function, the sediment and oil trap and infiltration bed
had to be lowered by 1.70' ($1,750.00).
B) Provide a utility trench and install city supplied conduit crossing New Day Parkway near the east side of Industry
Way ($2,145.00)
