BACKGROUND As conditions in the region and community change with new developments and other activities, major and minor needs arise for alterations in City Code. While the summary of this proposal is lengthy, the 13 proposed changes to 7 chapters of City Code are minor updates and clarifications. The attached exhibits include the proposed changes as discussed by the Commission in October 2021. At that time a table of the suggested changes with notes was included. The table has been replaced with a separate exhibit for each of the Titles and a strike )tA/underline text appropriate for final approval. The review and action by the Land Use & Development Commission is a recommendation to the City Council based on the following criteria: 1. The proposal does not conflict with the policies of the Comprehensive Plan; and 2. The proposal will not result in demonstrable adverse impacts upon the delivery of services by a political subdivision. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Staff finds that the draft code satisfies the criteria necessary to recommend approval of the title text amendment to the City Council, with the two criteria being: 1. The proposal does not conflict with the policies of the Comprehensive Plan: and 2. The proposal will not result in demonstrable adverse impacts upon the delivery of services by the City or other political subdivisions.
