Trustees of the Village of Chubbuck, held in the Municipal Building of the
Village of Chubbuck on February 26, 196~.
Present-Wprsencroft, Underwood, Hillman, Christensen, McDevitt , Tuel~er and
approxima~e~y 50 residents of the Village.
Absent- Ward, exc~sed for previous engagement.
Called to order 7:32 P.M.
Purpose- Public Hearing and Discussion of Proposed Sar~tary Code for the
Village of Chubbuck.
Proposed Sanitary Code read in full by Worsencroft.
Discussion and question and answer period followed.
Carl Worth, 119 Ronald Road- Can we get garbage service if we live in the
Village but do not have Village Water Service? Yes. If we have a lot of building
material scraps, can we haul them ourselves? Yes.
Ed Stuart, Yellowstone Ave - Can we burn weeds on our own fence-line? Yes, if
you burn them in the daytime and someone is watching the fire at ~11 times.
John Valenty, Valenty Road- Planning Commission Books. Gave each new Board
member a copy of the Combined County-City Planning Books. Asked if Sewer System
should not be first step in Sanitation of Village.? We need a complete Engineering
Survey before this can be answered.
J. Anderson, E. Chubbuck Road- Is Collection of Garbage going to be put out
on a bid-basis? We will have to pass the Ordinance first, before anything like
this can be considered. Will this Code require Potato Cellars to keep their
places cle~n? Yes.
Rodney Parrish, 209 Parrish Drive- What will the charge be? This will have to
be worked out after we operate for awhile and see how much time is spent, and
how many places are using the Service.
Melburn Lewis, So. Afton - I live alone so will I have to pay as much as
a family of 7 or more? This was answered by S. Rex Christensen, Lucky Ave-
We need to work as a team, we cannot accomplish anything if we work against
each other. The anly answer to this problem is 1OO% cooperation by all residents.
Tueller, ~tate Health Dept.- The Village is taking a step in the right
direction, and State Health Dept. will cooperate with Village to see that
the Code is enforced, once it is adopted.
Joe Delquadri, Owner of 124 Rose St.- Will the Service include his place if
the snow is deep? Yes, we will just have to plow out the snow first.
Tom Fowler 311 E. Chubbuck Road-Will this Code cover animals and feed lots?
Yes, the owners will have to keep them in a Sanitary condition.
Ernie Stuart, Whitaker Road- How about dogs tipping over the trash cans?
Cans will have to be placed in racks.
Mrs. Wm A. Wood, East Linden - What about dogs killing livesteck? Kill the
dog if it is on your property, and then call the Police.
Lyman Girrard, Yellowstone Ave.- Can we enforce th$ Dog Ordinance? Yes and
we will work on that soon.
Elwood Anderson, W. Siphon Road, outside Village Limits- Can Village Police
help him if he does need help getting rid of dogs? No. Call the County.
