COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER 7, 2020 — 6:00PM

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor England.
PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: Councilmember Hernandez
COUNCIL PRESENT: Ryan Lewis, Dan Heiner, Melanie Evans, and Roger Hernandez.
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Kevin England, City Attorney Tom Holmes, Public Works
Director Rodney Burch, Police Chief Bill Guiberson, City Treasurer Rich Morgan, and City
Clerk Joey Bowers.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: September 16, 2020.
Councilmember Heiner motioned for approval of the Council Meeting minutes.
Councilmember Hernandez seconded motion for approval of minutes.
Roll Call: Lewis -yes, Heiner -yes, Evans -yes, Hernandez -yes, motion passed.
Councilmember Evans recused herself from general business #1.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
7. Adoption of Ordinance 818 Annexation with Commercial (C-1) Zoning.
(Council will discuss the annexation of 9.64 acres with Commercial (C- 7) Zoning).
Councilmember Hernandez motioned for the waiver of three readings, including the reading of
one time in full for Ordinance 818.
Councilmember Heiner seconded motion for waiver.
Roll Call: Heiner -yes, Hernandez -yes, Lewis -yes, Evans -recused, motion passed.
Councilmember Heiner motioned for adoption of Ordinance 818.
Councilmember Hernandez seconded motion for adoption.
Roll Call: Hernandez -yes, Lewis -yes, Heiner -yes, Evans -recused, motion passed.
CLAIMS:
1. City of Chubbuck claims for October 7, 2020 as presented to Mayor England and
Council.
Councilmember Evans motioned to approve the City of Chubbuck Claims as presented.
Councilmember Heiner seconded motion for approval.
Roll Call: Hernandez -yes, Lewis -yes, Heiner -yes, Evans -yes, motion passed.
GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS: New City Hall Ceremony at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8,
2020 located at 290 East Linden.
ADJOURN: Mayor Kevin England adjourned at 6:08.
