COUNCIL STUDY SESSION MINUTES
SEPTEMBER 2, 2020 4:00PM

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor England
COUNCIL PRESENT: Dan Heiner, Ryan Lewis, and Roger Hernandez.
STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Kevin England, City Attorney Tom Holmes, Planning &
Development Director Devin Hillam, and City Clerk Joey Bowers.
Mayor England excused Councilmember Melanie Evans from the meeting.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
1- Discussion about Regional Economic Development in Eastern Idaho (REDI).
Mayor England presented an agreement to continue to be a member with the Regional
Economic Development in Eastern Idaho (REDI). Mayor England also stated that
Bannock Development Corporation (BDC) is in the middle of restructuring. Mayor
England felt like with the changes coming to Bannock Development Corporation (BDC)
that the City of Chubbuck would be better represented and recommended to not continue
its membership with REDI.
The Council asked for more information and a presentation from REDI before they
made a decision on whether they wanted to continue the membership or not.
2- Discussion on the Strategic Plan.
Mayor England presented a monthly report.
3- Discussion on Future Agenda Items.
Mayor England presented a 3 month report about upcoming Study Session and
Council Meeting business items.
