2020 fog seal Project
NOTICE FOR BIDS TO QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS
Separate sealed BIDS from qualified contractors for the 2020
Fog Seal Project located in Chubbuck, Idaho and other
related work as set forth in the Contract documents will be
received by the Public Works Director, City of Chubbuck,
51.60 Yellowstone Avenue (P.O. Box 5604), Chubbuck, Idaho
63202, until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, July 9, 2020
and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The project generally consists of fog sealing approximately 7.7
miles of roadway, including providing temporary traffic con-
trol, preparing and sealing the roadway, striping, and related
items of work.
Bids will be opened at the Council Chambers at City Hall on
July 9, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. on said date. All interested individ-
uals are welcome to attend.
Electronic copies of the Bidding Documents may be down-
loaded by contacting the City.of Chubbuck by telephone at
208-237-2430 ext. 162. The standard set of Bidding Docu-
ments includes electronic PDF files of the bid forms, techni-
cal specifications, and a project vicinity map.
A Pre -Bid Conference will not be held.
All bids shall be presented or otherwise delivered to the Public
Works Director in a sealed envelope with a concise state-
ment marked on the outside identifying the project to which
the bid pertains.
All bids shall contain one of the following forms of bidder's se-
curity in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the amount
bid: a) Cash, b) Cashiers Check made payable to the City,
C) Certified Check made payable to the City, or d) bidder's
bond executed by a qualified Idaho Surety Company, made
payable to the City. Said bid security shall be forfeited to the
City of Chubbuck as liquidated damages should the suc-
cessful bidder fail to enter into contract in accordance with
their proposal as. specified in the Instructions to Bidders
Davis -Bacon Wage Rates will not be applicable to this project.
The City of Chubbuck reserves the right to reject any or all
proposals, waive any nonmaterial irregularities in the bids
received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advanta-
geous to the best interest of the City of Chubbuck.
