COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER: Mayor England
COUNCIL PRESENT: Ryan Lewis
COUNCIL PRESENT VIA Zoom: Roger Hernandez, Melanie Evans, and Dan Heiner.
STAFF PRESENT: Mayor Kevin England, City Attorney Tom Holmes, and City Clerk Joey Bowers.
STAFF PRESENT VIA ZOOM: Public Works Director Rodney Burch, Planning and Development
Director Devin Hillam, and Senior Planner Don Matson.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 18, 2020.
Councilmember Evans motioned for approval of the March 18, 2020 Council Meeting minutes.
Councilmember Hernandez seconded motion for approval of minutes.
Roll Call: Lewis -yes, Hernandez -yes, Evans -yes, Heiner -yes, motion passed.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
1. Approval of Southwest Townhomes Final Plat.
(Council will discuss the application and if it meets City code).
Senior Planner Don Matson represented the applicant. Mr. Matson presented a Town
Home subdivision that will consist of 33 structures and 66 townhomes. Mr. Matson also
stated that this application had been reviewed by City Staff and appears to meet the
conditions of the preliminary plat, the findings, facts, and conclusion of law, and the
standards of Titles 16, 17 and 18 of City Code, upon approval of requested condition.
Councilmember Heiner motioned for approval of Southwest Townhomes Final Plat, conditional
upon construction plans/drawings to be accepted by the City Engineer.
Councilmember Hernandez seconded motion for approval with condition.
Roll Call: Hernandez -yes, Evans -yes, Heiner -yes, Lewis -yes, motion passed.
2. Approval of Visit Pocatello Request for Funding for FY2020.
(Council will discuss funding request).
Councilmember Heiner motioned to approve $2,500 funding request for Visit Pocatello/Chubbuck.
Councilmember Lewis seconded motion for approval.
Roll Call: Evans -yes, Heiner -yes, Lewis -yes, Hernandez -yes, motion passed.
3. Acceptance of City Hall Project Bids.
(Council will discuss award of construction bids).
CLAIMS:
This business item was removed from the agenda.
1. City of Chubbuck claims for April 1, 2020 as presented to Mayor England and
Council.
Councilmember Hernandez motioned to approve the City of Chubbuck Claims as presented.
Councilmember Evans seconded motion for approval.
Roll Call: Heiner -yes, Lewis -yes, Hernandez -yes, Evans -yes, motion passed.
ADJOURN: Mayor Kevin England adjourned at 6:1 S.
