WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the City of Chubbuck,
Idaho, are advised that there exists in the community an
interest in establishing one or more reception centers in
areas ~oned residential other than R-1 (single-family
residential)!
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council find that such centers,
serving for weddin~s, wedding receptions, anniversary parties,
and meetings of private clubs or public service organizations,
would be beneficial to the community if properly controlledl
~fHERF~S, the regulations governing residential 'zoning
currently do not provide for reception, centersl and
WHEREAS, the best method of permitting the establishment
of such centers would be to authorize them as conditional uses,
subject to the imposition of controls found necessary by the
Mayor and Council in each individual casel
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, that the Planning and Zoning
Commission of the City of Chubbuck conduct a public hearing
on a proposed amendment to Ordinance No. 98 to permit recep-
tion centers as conditional uses in areas zoned residential
other than R-1 (single-family residential). Such hearin~
shall be in compliance with Chapter 3, Section 1, of Ordinance
No. 98. The Commission shall communicate its findings and
recommendations concerning the proposed amendment to the
Mayor and Council.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CPffJBBUCE, IDAHO, this 29th day of March, 1974.
