SOUTHEAST IDAHO
AREAWIDE LONG-RANGE PLAN
WHEREAS, the Devel. opmentlGuide: Goals for Southeast Idaho, has been
built upon the following two leve'ls of citizen participation:
1) 10,000 attitudinal surveys mailed to residences within
the region, and
2)¸
four standing regionally represented citizen advisory
committees (OASIS Council on Aging; Southeastern Idaho
Comprehensive Health Planning Council; Regional Housing
Task Force; Regional Land Use Task Force} and,
WHEREAS, the local elected officials on the Southeast Idaho Counci~ of
Governments Executive Council on July 31, 1974, adopted the "Goals, Objectives
and Priorities" recommended to them by the citizen advisory con:nittees,
NOW, THEREFORE, the Chubbuck City Council- does hereby adopt by
this resolution the DeyelQPment Guide: Goals f~r Southeast Idaho as its areawide
long-range plan, and further encourages their other cities, counties and soil
and water conservation districts within this region to also study, adopt and
utilize this document astheir long-rang e plan for guiding development within
Southeast Idaho.
