HomeMy WebLinkAbout04 25 1972 CMMinutes of the regular meeting of the Council held in the city municipal buildin~ Tuesday, April 25, 1772. o Meeting called to order by Councilman Romriell at $: 05 p.m. Present- Councilman Kinghcrn, Menard and. Romriell and clerk Vera Armstrong. Mayor Cotsat excused, Attorney Wise also excused. DISANNEXATION PJ~QUEST - L. Don Ha~nond was present at meeting and informed council he and Dale D. Hanoock had purchased the Bistline Estate property off Hiline Rd. and north of Interstate 15W. Mr. Hammond requests this area be dis annexed . Councilman Menard stated the council refused to dis-at,hex this area a short time ago a~d Mr. H~va~ond would have to pursue this through legal action. CLA~1 - Richard Stanger, Stuart Avenue, requests the city make right the loss of three trees on his property due to the city spraying weeds at Stuart Park last spring. Mayor had suggested he wait until this spring to see if trees survived. Clerk was instructed to contact insurance company. DOG LEASH AND CONTROL LAW - Difference in license fee for male a~d female dogs were dis cuss ed. D. K. Sample, corner of Siphon Rd and Hawthorne Rd. voiced opposition to leash law. ZONING KEQUIRF~M~TS for livestock in city discussed. Councilman Menard reported in researching he found the following formula as general throughout Undted States in livestock areas. One horse or one cow per acre of usable area or three horses or three cows per acre of usable area with a calf or colt allowed with mother for six months. Councilman Rcmriell said he felt three horses too many for an acre. Formula to be presented to Plarming and Zoning co~aission. CROSSWALKS - Councilman Romriell stated the State Highway Department had approved and painted crosswalks on Yellowstone Highway two years ago and gave Chubbuck per,mission to keep these crosswalks painted. ORDINANCE #106 -Disannexation Ordinance of property belonging to John E. Motheral read by Councilman Romriell for first reading. CLEAN UP CAMPAIGN - Tank at park -Mr. Stanger living next to Stuart Park recuests tank be removed. Councilmen also in agreement to move t~nk and will follow up on this. Clean up - It was suggested by the Council, Fire Department and Police Department the city cooperate with residents and use the month of ~ay for a clean up campaign. SPECIAL ~'~EETING - Councilman Menard moVed for council to have a special meeting Tuesday, May 2, 1972 at 7:00 o'clock p.m. Kinghorn seconded with all in favor. This meeting will be for action on Dog Leash and Control Ordinance ~d Trailer Ordinance. Meeting recessed until further notice if necessary. Vera C. Armstrong, city clerk Earl L.
