A special meeting of the City Council (herein "Council") of the City of Chubbuck (herein
"City") in the County of Bannock and State of Idaho, was held on Wednesday, t!~e 8th day
of March, 1972, at the hour of 6:00 o'clock p.m., at the City Hall in the City, being
the regular meeting place of the Council, at which meeting there were present and
answering the roll call the following, who constitute a quorum: Mayor John O. ~otant Jr,
Councilmen Dwain A. Kinghorn, Jack J. Menard, Earl L. Romriell and Wayne Taylor consti~
tuting all the members therof. There were also present City Clerk Vera C. Armstrong and
Joseph G. Wise.
Thereupon, the following proceedings, among others were duly had and taken:
Councilman Kinghorn moved that the City Council resolve itself into a canvassing board
to canvass the returns of the special municipal sewer revenue bond election held in said
City on Tuesday, the 7th day of March, 1972. The motion was seconded by CounciLman
Menard and was carried by the unanimous vote of all Councilmen present.
Said Council immediately resolved itself into a convassing board, and the Clerk having
produced the returns, the City Council proceeded to open and canvass the votes in the
manner required by law.
After completing the canvass of the votes cast, the Council found the returns to be
regular and in all respects made in the mariner and form required by law, and thereupon
made an abstract of the votes cast at said special municipal bond election, which
said abstract was in words and figures as follows, to-wit:
ABSTRACT OF VOTES CAST AT THE SPECIAL MUNICIPAL SE~ EEVENUE BOND ELECTIC~N HELD IN THE
CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, TUESDAY, THE 7TH DAY OF
~'~' 1972, ON THE FOLLOWING QUESTION:
Shall the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, issue and sell its sewer revenue bonds in the
aggregate principal maount of $1,000,O00.00, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
for the purpose of providing funds with which to construct and acquire a sewerage system ,
said bonds to mature serially commencing I year and ending
following delivery and to bear interest at a rate or rates not to exceed 6% per annum,
as more fully provided in Ordinance No. 10&, signed and approved the 12th day of February,
1972, the principal of and the interest on said bonds to be payable solely from the net
revenues to be derived from the operation of the municipal sewerage system?
In FAVOR of issuing revenue bonds for the purposes provided by Ordinance No 10~ 561
AGAINST issuing revenue bonds for the purposes orovided by Ordinance No lO& 130

Thereupon, it was moved by Councilman Taylor and seconded by Councilman Romriell that
the Council resm~e its regular order of business, which motion was carried by the
unanDaous vote of all councilmen present, and the City Council thereupon resumed the
regular order of business.
Thereupon, Councilman Menard introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
Resolution attached$ resolving the City council did publicly open the returns and canvass
the votes of the special municipal bond election , stating results of vote and that it
was duly carried by more than a two-thirds (2/3) vote of qualified electors.
Councilman Kinghorn seconded the motion for the adoption ~ the foregoing resolution and
the same, on being put to a vote, was unanimously carried by the affirmative vote all
Councilmen present, the vote being as follows: Those Voting aye: ~ain A. Kinghorn,
Jack J. Menard, Earl L. Romriell and Wayne G. Taylor.
The Mayor thereupon declared that the motion was duly carried.
There being no further business to come before the meeting, the meeting was, on motion
duly made, seconded and carried, adjourned. ~.~ ~~~
