Present: Mayor Cotant~ Comucilmen Kinghorn~ Menard, Romriell and Taylor.
Meeting called to order by Mayor Cotant at 7:00 p.m.
ANNUAL APPROPRIATION BUDGET - Council reviewed the proposed annual appropriation
budget of the General Fund and Waterworks Fund. Council approved the annual
appropriation budget for publication for a public hearing. _ ~~
INSURANCE - Councilman Menard asked if city has coverage on councilmen, mayor and
city personnel for slander, etc.
LAW ENFORCEMENT - Discussion on costs of car radio contacts. Councilman Romriell
suggested looking into radio system for the city.
PROPOSED SEWER PROJECT C~MMUNITY MEETING - Chairman of project Dennis Leslie called
and suggested community meeting before election. Mayor and council all in agree-
ment to schedule meeting for 8:00 o'clock p.m. on Wednesday evening, March l,
, at the Chubbuck Elementary School Building.
WATER DEPOSITS - Discussion on raising water deposit on rental units and requiring
homeowners responsible for water rent. All felt further review needed on this
for later consideration.

BLUE CROSS INSURANCE RATE INCREASE - Blue Cross had a rate increase in the month
of December. Mayor Cotant read the rate increases. Mayor and Councilmen approved
the increase from $15.i5 to $16.88 per individual and from $37.30 with dependents
to $~0.83.
ANNUAL CE~TIFICATION OF STREET REVENUE AND EXPENDITURES for year January !, 1971
to December 31, 1971 read by Mayor Cotant. Copy certified by Mayor and ordered
to be published February 2~, 1972. Full report attached to these minutes.
