WHEREAS, the 1975 Local Planning Act of the State of
Idaho requires that cities within the State establish com-
prehensive land use plans (or review existing plans) by
January 1, 1977; and
WHEREAS, the Act also requires that cities and counties
within the State engage in cooperative planning with each other
in order to encourage the orderly development of urban
areas; and
WHEREAS, the City of Chubbuck, through its Mayor, City
Council and Planning and Zoning Commission, has been engaged
in the outlining of a new comprehensive plan during 1976,
but must coordinate this plan with the plans being developed
by the City of Pocatello, Bannock County, and other governmental
units within the county; and
WHEREAS, the entire process of coordinating plans will
not be completed until some future time, no later than June,
1977;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council
of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, that the City shall continue
to develop its comprehensive plan in cooperation with other
affected governmental units as required by the Local Planning
Act of 1975, and shall complete the formulation of its plan
no later than June, 1977.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE ~AYOR of the
City of Chubbuck, Idaho, this ]]th day of January, 1977.
