CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO
WHEREAS, inhabitants of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho,
receive ambulance services from a private enterprise ("Med-
Alert") serving under public contract in Bannock County,
Idaho; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the Chubbuck City Council that
the quality of services rendered has been high and the costs
charged reasonable; and
WHEREAS, alternatives are being considered as to the
future of emergency medical services, including assumption
of full responsibility for such services by a government
agency; and
WHEREAS, it is the consensus of the Chubbuck City
Council that the public interest would best be served by
continuing to arrange for provision of such services by a
well-qualified private enterprise under public contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OFCHUBBUCK, IDAHO, that the City of Chubbuck
expresses its support for continued provision of emergency
medical services in the City of Chubbuck by private enterprise
under contract to Bannock County and/or to the municipalities
located within the county.
