RESOLUTION NO. 6 - 79
WHEREAS, the Idaho Local Planning Act of 1975 (Idaho Code sections
67-6501 et. seq.) requires that municipalities of this state engage in
planning and adopt, by ordinance or resolution, comprehensive plans;
and
WHEREAS, in compliance with the Act, the City of Chubbuck commenced
a thorough planning process in 1977, culminating in two series of hearings
before the Chubbuck Planning & Zoning Commission and the Chubbuck City
Council; and
WHEREAS, certain changes were made during the first series of hearings
making it appropriate under the Act to conduct the second series of hear-
ings oh the proposedcomprehensive plan as modified; and
WHEREAS, the final revised draft of the comprehensive plan (a copy
of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein) represents the best
efforts of Chubbuck officials and i~habitants to enhance the quality of
their community through a cooperative planning process;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF oCHUBBUCK, IDAHO, that the attached comprehensive plan is approved
and adopted, subject Only.to such future changes as may be authorized by
the Local Planning Act;
AND BE iT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution shall supersede
Chubbuck City Resolution No. 3-78, passed on June 6, 1978, following the
first series of hearings described above.
