HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-001 Sewer RatesCITY OF CHUBBUCK RESOLUTION NO. #1-84 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, ESTABLISHING THE RATES TO BE CHARGED BY THE CITY FOR SEWAGE DISPOSAL THROUGH THE MUNICIPAL SEWER SYSTEM; AND PROVIDING WHEN SAID RATES SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE WHEREAS, Section 17 of Ordinance No. 251 of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, expressly provides that the rate for sewage disposal through the municipal sewer system shall be set by resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Chubbuck: 1. The rates charged for sewage disposal through and connection to the municipal sewer system shall be as follows: A. Connection Charges: The following connection charges shall be imposed for the land uses and time periods set forth hereinafter: Land Use Residential Single Family Dwelling Amount $250.00 $310.00 $370.00 Time Period Through 11/30/84 From 12/1/84 through 11/30/85 After 11/30/85 Multiple Residential Structures Including but not Limited to Multiple Household Dwellings, Production Building Cluster Arrangements, and Duplexes RESOLUTION - Page 1 jm CH3 - 914 $250.00 plus $100.00 for each additional living unit or space $310.00 plus $165.00 for each additional living unit or space $370.00 plus $230.00 for each additional living unit or space Through 11/30/84 From 12/1/84 through 11/30/85 After 11/30/85 Hotels & Motels Commercial and Industrial Use $250.00 plus $23.00 for each additional unit $310.00 plus $23.00 for each additional unit $370.00 plus $23.00 for each additional unit Through 11/30/84 From 12/1/84 through 11/30/85 After 11/30/85 Fee dependent upon type of customer. Use reproduction unit capacity cost of $1.37 per gallon per day based on average usage. B. At the time of application for sewer service or of application for restoration of terminated sewer service, the owner or occupant of any lot, property, building or residence who will receive sewer service from the City, but who does not subscribe and pay for water furnished by the municipal water system, shall deposit with the City Clerk three times the applicable monthly service charge, or $50.00, whichever is greater, for each lot, property, building or residence connected to the sewer system, in order to guaranty the payment of monthly sewer system charges. All deposits shall be held in a fund known as the "Sewer Service Deposit Fund" and shall be retained in said fund until the owner or occupant shall have discontinued the ownership or occupancy of such a lot, property, building or residence. The deposit shall not bear interest payable to the depositor while being held in the "Sewer Service Deposit Fund", and shall be subject to disbursement in accordance with the procedures set forth in Ordinance 251 in the event of the owner's or occupant's failure to pay, in a timely fashion, the monthly sewer service charge. The monthly charges for sewer service within the City shall be as follows: Use Residential Single Family Dwelling Multiple Residential Dwelling Structure Multiple Residential Dwelling Structure Without Cooking Units Amount $8.25 $6.75 per unit $3.90 per unit Non-Residential Structures and Uses North of 1-86 Non-Residential Structures and Uses South of 1-86 $8.00 plus 39 cents per 1,000 gallons in excess of 9,500 gallons per month of water used or the actual cost attributable to the treatment of the wastewater generated by such use as determined by the approving authority as defined in Ordinance No. 251 if the latter amount is greater. $8.00 plus 46 cents per 1,000 gallons in excess of 9,500 gallons per month of water used or the actual cost attributable to the treatment of the wastewater generated by such use as determined by the approving authority as defined in Ordinance No. 251 if the latter amount is greater. RESOLUTION - Page 3 3m CH3 - #14 D. Monthly Service Charges Outside City . The monthly charges for sewer service outside the City shall be the same as those itemized in Paragraph C above, except that each charge shall be 50% greater than the equivalent charge for service within the City.
