A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF CHUBBUCK, A
MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF IDAHO, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SIGN
THE 1995 FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION MAPS FOR STREETS AND
HIGHWAYS FOR THE POCATELLO/CHUBBUCK URBANIZED AREA: PROVIDING
THAT ONE COPY OF THIS MAP SHALL BE ATTACHED HERETO, ONE COPY
RETAINED IN THE NORTH BANNOCK METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION OFFICE, AND ONE COPY RETAINED IN THE OFFICE OF
THE CITY ENGINEER.
WHEREAS, a statewide functional classification system
for streets and highways has been established to define
anticipated use of the various segments of the road system; and,
WHEREAS, this classification system serves as a
foundation for determining future system needs and the
appropriate funding source for a given road segment; and,
WHEREAS, Idaho Transportation Department procedures
require that this statewide functional system be reviewed on a
five-year cycle and updated to reflect anticipated functional
usage with a ten-year target date; and
WHEREAS, such a revision to the 1990 Functional
Classification Map for the Pocatello/Chubbuck urbanized area
has been prepared by the State and approved by the local
planning authority, North Bannock Metropolitan Planning
Organization (NOBAMPO), and designated as the 1995 Function
Classification Map; and,
WHEREAS, in the case of systems in urbanized areas,
the Idaho Transportation Department requires that signatures of
applicable Mayors, County Commission Chairmen, Metropolitan
Planning Organization Chairpersons, and the Idaho
Transportation Department District Engineer be affixed to the
official map;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Council of
the City of Chubbuck that Mayor John O. Cotant, Jr be hereby
authorized to sign the official 1995 Functional Classification
Maps for the Pocatello/Chubbuck urbanized area.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that one copy of this map shall
be attached hereto for reference, one copy retained in the
NOBAMPO office, and one copy retained in the office of the
City Engineer.
