AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR TO APPROVE THE FU.RNISHING OF MUNICIPAL SERVICES
BY THE CITY OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE BOUNDARIES OF THE
CITY PURSUANT TO WRITTEN AGREEMENT DEFINING THE SCOPE
OF SERVICES TO BE FURNISHED AND THE CONSIDERATION TO BE
PAID THEREFOR; PROTECTING THE FIRST PRIORITY OF SERVICES
WITHIN THE CITY AND PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL
BECOME EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHUBBUCK, IDAHO:
SECTION 1: SERVICES OUTSIDE CITY. The Mayor of the
City of Chubbuck, Idaho, is hereby authorized to enter into
written agreements for the furnishing of municipal services
outside the corporate boundaries of the city. Such written
agreements shall define the scope of services to be provided
and the consideration to be paid therefor. Services which
may be furnished pursuant to such agreements may include,
without limitation, police protection, fire protection,
animal control, sanitation services, water supply and sewer
services.
SECTION 2: PRIORITY. The furnishing of services pursuant
to such agreements shall be subject to the first priority
accorded to adequate provision of services within the corporate
boundaries of the City.
SECTION 3: EFFECTIVE DATE. The rule requiring ordinances
to be read on three separate days is hereby dispensed with,
and this ordinance shall become effective upon its approval
and publication as provided by law.
PASSED BY THE COUNCIL AND APPROVED BY THE MAYOR of the
City of Chubbuck, Idaho, on this 10 %h day of June, 1975.
