AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, CREATING
A MUNICIPAL IMPROVEMENTS AND SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD;
DEFINING ITS JURISDICTION AND DUTIES; PRESCRIBING ITS
MEMBERSHIP; ESTA~BLISHING ITS MEETING SCHEDULE; AND
PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHUBBUCK, IDAHO:
Section 1: Creation of Board. There is hereby created a
"Municipal Improvements and Services Advisory Board" of the
City of Chubbuck, Idaho, the membership and duties of which
shall be as set forth below.
Section 2: Jurisdiction and Duties. The Board shall have
responsibility for reviewing the adequacy of city facilities and
services to meet the needs of the inhabitants of the City of
Chubbuck, including without limitation the facilities and services
relating to traffic safety, beautification, parks and recreation.
The Board shall meet no less frequently than every three months
and it shall report in writing to the City Council once annually
its comprehensive findings and recommendations concerning new
or modified municipal improvements and services.
Section 3: Membership. The Board shall consist of nine
members, appointed by the Mayor with the concurrence of a
majority of the City Council. The appointed term of each
member shall be two years; provided that, in the initial
appointments made pursuant to this ordinance, five appointments
shall be for two-year terms and four shall be for one-year
terms. Each member shall serve until his or her successor has
been appointed and has indicated acceptance of the appointment.
Each member shall attend no less than three-fourths of all
meetings duly called during any twelve-month period; and failure
to do so shall constitute abandonment of membership. Vacancies
caused by death, disability, abandonment of membership or
resignation shall be filled for unexpired terms by appointment.
Members shall not receive compensation for service on the Board,
but their actual out-of-pocket expenses directly related to
service on the Board shall be reimbursed by the City upon
claim submitted to the Chubbuck City Treasurer. The Chubbuck
City Clerk shall assist the Board in compiling and preparing its
annual report.
Section 4: Mee~Dgs. Meetings of the Board, when conducted
in compliance with the requirement set forth above, shall be

held at the hour of 7:30 P.M. on the second Wednesday of the
month in question. At the first such meeting of each calendar
year, the Board shall elect its chairman, who shall preside
at all meetings during that year and give notice to members of
each such meeting. Special meetings at other dates and times
may be conducted upon due notice to members. At any meeting,
the presence of a majority of members shall constitute a
quorum.
Section 5: Effective Date. This ordinance shall become
effective upon its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law.
