ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE DEFINING VAGRANCY IN TIE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO MAKING IT
UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO COMMIT ANY ACTS OF VAGRANCY, SO DEFINED, IN THE
VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS OF THIS, ORDINANCE;
AND PROVIDING THE TIME OF THE TAKING EFFECT OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND BOARD OF TRUSTEZ OF THE VILLAGE OF
CHUBBUCK, BANNOCK COUNTY, IDAHO-
Section 1 Vagrancy: Every person, except an Indian, without any visible
means of living, who has the physical ability to work, and who does not seek
employment, nor labor when employment is offered him; every healthy beggar
who sollefis alms as a business; every person who roams about from place to
place without any lawful business; eve idle or dissolute person, or associate
of known.thaeves who wanders about the streets at late or unusual hours of the
night, or who lodges in any barn, shed, shop, outhouse, or place other than
such as is kept for lodging purposes, without permission of the owner or person
entitled to the possession thereof; every lewd or 41ssolute person who lives in
and about houses of ill - fam ; every common prostitute every cpmmon drunkard;

L ks or pockets, and who can give no satisfactory account for the posseszian
of same, is a vagnt, and it shall be unlaul for any per-son within bye limits
'of the Village of Chubb k, Idaho,, to be a vagrant or commit the offenawe of

Section 2. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance sha11, ap
conviction theveof, be punished by a fine of not more than $100M. for auy ono
offense, together with costs, and in daftu t:of the 'payee of :Jmch fine andt sts
shall be confined in the jail at the r* of one day far each $1.50 of the -ne,
and posts, so imposed, until said fine and costs are paid,
Sections -'3. This ordinance sh l hake effect and be in full force and effect
after its pbssa+ge, approval and publication as provided by law.
