HomeMy WebLinkAbout0002 Disturbing the Peace 19510 ORDINANCE N0. y— AN ORDINANCE MAKIN" IT UNLA'NFUL FOR ANY PERSON 'dITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK TO 'UILLFULLY, OR MALICIOUSLY, OR INTENTIONALLY, OR UNNECESSARILY DISTRUB THE PLACE AND QUIET OF ANOTHLR, OR OF ANY NEIGHBORHOOD, OR FAMILY, OR PUBLIC ASSEMBLY BY LOUD OR UNUSUAL NOISES, INDECENT BEHAVIOR, OFFENSIVE OR UNBECOMING CONDUCT, OR THREATENING LANGUAGE, OR ia,ITARRELING, OR FIGHTING, OR PROVOKING AN ASSAULT OR BATTERY, OR USING OF VULGAR OR INDECENT LANGUAGE IN THE PRESENCE OF OTHERS; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CHAIRMAN AND THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK, BANNOCK COUNTY, IDAHO: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons within the village limits of the Villiage of Chubbuck, Bannock County, Idaho, to willfully, or malicously, or intentionally, or unnecessarily disturb the peace and quiet of another, or of any neighborhood, family, or other public assembly by loud or unusual noises, or by indecent behavior, offensive or unbecoming conduct, or threatening language, or quarrel- ing, or fighting, or provoking an assault or battery, or using of vulgar or indecent language in the presence of others. Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be fined in a sum of not exceeding One Hundred Dollars, and in addition thereto the costs involved, and in default of the payment of such fine and .costs to be confined in jail at the rate of ono day for each 41.50 of such fine and costs so imposed. Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication as required by law. CA_ PASSED AND APPROVED this day of May, 1951.
