CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 78 OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK,
IDAHO, BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 3-1-19(D) REQUIRING
INSTALLATION OF A PRESSURE REGULATOR AND STRAINER
WHERE LOCAL WATER PRESSURE IS IN EXCESS OF EIGHTY
POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH; PROVIDING THAT SUCH REGULATOR
AND STRAINER BE ACCESSIBLY LOCATED; AND PROVIDING
IFHEN THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECO_~t~ EFFECTIVE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHUBBUCK, IDAHO:
SECTION 1:
Chubbuck, Idaho,
relating to the municipal water system,
adding thereto section 3-1-19(D), to be
following existing section 3-1-19(C) of
follows:
Amendment. Ordinance No. 78 of the City of
enacted on the llth day of June, 1968,
is hereby amended by
inserted immediately
said ordinance as
SECTION 3-1-19(D).. Pressure Regulator. ~nere
local' water pressure is in excess of eighty
(.0) pounds per square znch~ a pressure
regulator preceded by an adequate strainer
shall be i~stall'ed and the 'pressure reduced
'to eighty (80) pounds Der square inch
or' less.' Each such regulat6r and strainer
shlalt be accessibly located.and shall have
th.e strainer readily accessible for cleanin5
wzthoUt r.emoVing the regulator or strainer '
body or disconnecting t~e supply pip'inK. The
~-~pe~s Of.regUlator and' st'rainer' shall be approved
bY the City Engineer.
SECTION 2: Effective Date. This Ordinance shall
become effective upon its passage, approval and publication
as provided by law.
