MINUTES

COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Kevin England, Rodney Burch, Ryan Lewis, Bryan
Hall, Carrie Holm, Stewart Ward, Joey Bowers, and Brandon Jackson represented Kent Oram.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES: November 26, 2018
Mayor England entertained a motion to approve the minutes as emailed. Lewis motioned to
approve the minutes; Ward seconded. All committee members voted in favor, motion passed.
GENERAL BUSINESS:
City Hall Building Concepts.
(Committee will discuss various options for the preferred look of City Hall).
Architect Meyers Anderson presented that their consultant recommended site one as
the best location, and will present the final report from the location consultant at the next
meeting. Meyers Anderson presented some design concepts for the inside and outside of
the new City Hall, and asked the committee members to think about some symbolic/
interpretive elements that could be incorporated into the building to make it more unique
and better represent the community.
The Committee would like a good mixture of windows and brick in the design, and
wanted to keep a clock tower as part of City Hall. The Committee wants to make this a
building that represents the future of Chubbuck, and is a building that the residents are
proud to have represent their community. The Committee also felt like adding natural
light into the Council Room would make it more inviting and less intimidating. They
would like to work with Idaho State University to showcase local artists (that could be
switched out periodically) to make the building feel more like a home.
ADJOURN: Lewis entertained a motion to adjourn at 12:15. Holm motioned to adjourn; Hall
seconded. All committee members voted in favor, motion passed.
