Mayor's Newsletter — March 2015
Greetings,
This has certainly been an unusually warm February.
Some of our flowers and trees have been tricked into
believing that it is spring. It will surely be interesting to
see what March holds in store for us.
Mr. Steve Smart
has informed us
that he intends to
retire from city
employment late
summer 2015. He
has served this city
for 37 years. That
kind of institutional
knowledge is going
to be impossible to
replace. We are in
the process of
finding a new public works director as this letter is being
written. We are grateful that several quality individuals
have applied for this position. In next month's newsletter
I should be able to introduce you to the new director. We
cannot say thanks enough to Steve for his service to our
city. As you see him around please express thanks to
him. Steve, I would like to say job well done, and my very
best to you and Judy for your future plans.
just as a reminder could you each see that you garbage
is out to the street by 7:OOam on the day that your

neighborhood is scheduled to be picked up. It can be
that you may get used to a time that you receive service
and there are times that we need to use a replacement
driver and he may not run the route the same as the
regular driver which could cause him to be at your home
at an earlier time. If you got your cart out late and had to
call and ask us to return to your home it would require a
charge of $8.50. The safe practice is to have your cart out
by 7:00am always. It is our goal to give you the best
service possible.

Please
remember
that
certified birth certificates are required at the time of
registration, even if previously supplied. That process will
take place on Saturday March 7th, 14th, 21St from
10:00am to 3:00pm and Friday March 13th from 1:00pm
to 5:00pm. Play ball.
School District 25 is having a levy election March 10.
Make sure and study this issue out so you can make an
informed vote.
We certainly live in a beautiful, blessed place. Let us each
find joy in the journey. Thank you, to the residence of
Chubbuck, for being the greatest citizens on the planet.
