As a department, we give our thanks for the contribution. The police department is actively involved in fund raisers to send an officer to school to train as a handler. For YOU GOLFERS OUT THERE, the police department is having a golf scramble on April 1311 at Highland Golf Course. We are in need of 32 four -person teams. These teams can be men, women, or combined. Local businesses have donated lots of prizes. The cost is $45.00 per person. The money goes for a good cause. Contact Sgt. Bill Guiberson, or Capt. Richard Webb CITY-WIDE NEIGHBORHOOD COALITION: The Chubbuck Police Department is looking for volunteers from the city that would be in- terested in representing their area of town as to what policing trends they would like to see. The coalition would be an instrumental group that would set community policing goals and would serve as a liaison between the police and community as to what the community would like to see. The coalition would work under the Police Chief. The coalition would operate out of the Chubbuck Police Sub -Station at Pineridge Mall, and would get the community involved in obtaining volunteers to run the of- fice 8 hrs. a day. The coalition would not only implement new programs, and projects, but would oversee the activities of existing projects. Classes for the community will be offered as well. One need that neighborhoods have ex- pressed, is "How do you recognize drug activ- ity in your neighborhood, and what do you do?" The coalition would select volunteers to work I at the Sub -Station. The Sub -Station will serve as an information source for the community. This paragraph may sound boring, but get in- volved!! We can make it a lot of fun. You may come up with all types of suggestions of how I citizens can be involved with the police. The sky is the limit! The first coalition meeting is set for April 151, 7:00 p.m. Call Sgt. Steve Hieb, or Capt. Richard Webb for details. e come. All pro- ceeds from this event go toward helping the Chubbuck Police Department start and support it's first K9 Officer program. This event will be a four person scramble format. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, and last place team. Prizes for the la- dies and the men will also be awarded for the longest drive and the closest shot to the pin. Lunch after the round is included in the entry fee. Numerous door prizes, and raffles will be given away during the tournament. Carts can be reserved on the entry form. Players/Teams are responsible for cart rental fees. Rental fees will be paid by the players/teams to the course on the day of the tourney. Getyour teams together, or sign up as a single if you have to, just don't be left out.
