HomeMy WebLinkAbout008.23.18 study session City of Chubbuck Land Use and Development Commission Special Study Session August 23, 2018-6:00 pm Minutes of the Land Use and Development Commission Special Study Session held at Chubbuck City Hall, 5160 Yellowstone, on August 23, 2018. Chairperson Jason Mendenhall: Commission Members: Mike Schwartz, Dan Stoddard, Rebecca Berls, Thais Ayre, Brandon Jackson, and TJ Budge. Planning and Development Director: Devin Hillam, Public Works Director: Rodney Burch, City Planner: Paul Andrus. City Attorney:Tom Holmes, Office Administrator: Ranelle Simmons Chairperson Mendenhall called the study session to order at 6:00 pm. This is an informational meeting and will be on the agenda for recommendation to City Council at the September 11th meeting. Hillam let the board know that there will be 2 meetings in September,the 11th and the 18th because of the number of applications that have been submitted for September. GENERAL BUSINESS 1. Review and discuss the proposed Mixed Use (MU) Zone Devin Hillam explained to the board that the Mixed Use (MU) is a flexible zoning. Developers are now being called "Community Builders". Applications from community builders will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Hillam informed the board on areas such as: The Mixed Use PUD Plan Master Development Plan Design Book will be submitted with Preliminary Plat Final Plat Development Construction and Building Permits Development and Design Standards After approx. 45 minutes of discussion, questions and suggestions by the board Mendenhall adjourned the study session at 7:17 pm.
