AMEND COUNCIL STUDY SESSION AGENDA:
GENERAL BUSINESS:
Review requests for funding for fiscal year 2017.
Mayor reviewed with the Council the requests for funding.
Aid for Friends, Emergency Shelter.
Family Services Alliance of SE Idaho, Victims of abuse and domestic violence survivors.
Big Momma's House, Transitional Shelter.
SEICCA, Meals on Wheels, safety check.
Visit Pocatello, Tourism promotion.
Biggest Show in Idaho, Community Event.
2. Chubbuck Days logistic concerns at Capell Park
Discussion on holding the event at Capell or Stuart Park to avoid the construction at
Cotant Park.
3. Discussion on an Economic Development/Public Relations staff Position
A discussion on various options for funding the position, the requirements of the position,
the expectations of the position.
4. Discussion on changes to City Code section 12.08 and 12.12 Public Right of Way
Contractors License and Public Right of Way Construction.
We have seen a significant number of utilities that are doing underground instillation and
we don't have a good way to track them. This fee is for utility installers. We want to
project the city when they are working around our streets and sidewalks. Both warranty
periods should be 3 (one was 1 year). Add some language to allow small jobs without
public works contractors. $10,000.
5. Sharon Manning to discuss United Seniors
Mayor explained this group and is just a theory. If they can get the group started they
would like to ask for funding.
