tions. The formation
of this advisory coun-
cil is authorized by
Section 40-514, Ida-
ho Code.
There is presently one
vacancy for Trans-
portation District 5 on
the Public Transpor-
tation Advisory
Council (PTAC), and
applications are be-
ing sought to fill it im-
mediately. The Ida-
ho Transportation
Board makes the fi-
nal appointment.
This council advises
the Idaho Transpor-
tation Board on is-
sues and policies re-
garding public trans-
portation services in
Idaho. The council
shall participate in
planning activities,
identify transporta-
tion needs, and pro-
mote coordinated
transportation sys-
tems. Before recom-
mending programs
and priorities the
council shall seek
pertinent information,
facts and data from
local governments,
agencies and provid-
ers regarding public
transportation is-
sues.
