I7 N ORDINANCE DEFINING VAG- RANCY IN THE VILLAGECHUBBUCK, IDAHO MAKING OIT N UNLAWFUL FOR AY PERSON TO comiul.T ANY ACTS OF VAGRAN- CY, SO DEFINED, IN THE VILLAGE OF CHUBBUCK; PROVIDING PEN - ALT. $ FOR VIOLATION OF THIS ORD NANCF; A N D PROVIDING THE TIME OF THE TAKING EF- ! T1;C't' OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CHAIR-'' HN AND BOARD OF TRUSTES E VILLAGE OF CHUBHUCK EBAN TOCK COUNTY, IDAHO: Section 1. vagrancy: Every person, xcept an Indias,, without any visible ,cans of living, who hasthe physical bility to W Ork, and )v 110 does not eek employment, nor labor when em- loyment is offered him; every healthy eggar who solicits alms as a business; :very person who ro,"s about from dace to place witoaut any lawful busi- ' ess; every idle or dissolute person, or [ssaciate of known thieves who wan - lcrs about the streets at late or un- Isual hours of the night, or who lodges n any barn, shed, shop, Outhouse, or )lace other than such as is kept for odging purposes, without permission )f the o4vner or person entitled to the )ossession thereof; every lewd or disso- ute person who lives in and about ouses of ill -fame; every common pros- :.itute; every common drunkard; and any person who travels from place to ?lace for the purpose of gambling and i very person ,upon whom shall be' Lound any instrument or thing used Ear commission of burglary or for pick- ing lochs or pockets, and who can give no satisfactory account for the posses- sion of same, is a vagrant; and it shall be unlawful for any person within the lilnits of the Village of Chubbuck, Ida- ho, to be a vagrant or commit the of- fense of vagrancy. Section 2. Any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not more than $10000, for any' one offense, together with costs, and in default of the payment of such fine and costs, shall be confined in the ]ail at the rate of one day for each $1.50 of the fine, and costs, so imposed, until said fine and costs are paid; Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect after its passage; approval and publica- tian as provided by law. PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 10th day of 'Winber, 1952.
