HomeMy WebLinkAbout06 08 1972 Ord. 108ORLIINA'NCE N0:`108 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO, AMENDINGoORDINANCE NO. 77 TO CHANGE THE TftMS' OF OFFICE OF THE MEM- BERS OF THE CITY PLAN- NING COMMISSION TO PRO- VIDE THAT ONE MEMBER OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISHON MAY RESIDE OUTSIDE THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK AND DECLARING AN EMER- GENCY, BE IT ORDAINED by the May- or and City Council of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho: Section 1: That Section 1, sub paragraph 1-2 of Ordinance No. 77 of the City of Chubbuck, Idaho, passed on the 28t1i day of May, 1960, be modified to read as follows: MEMBERSHIP. The Planning Commisiion shall consist of sev- en members to be appointed by the Mayor with the consent and approval of the Council, one of which members shall be a .mem- ber of the Council, Provided further that one memberappoint ed shall also be a member of the Bannock County, Planning Committee.; TERMS OF OFFICE: The Mem-� ber wlio is a member of the Coun- cil shall serve for an indefinite time at the pleasure of the May- or and other members of the Council. The other such mem- bers shall serve as.follows: three of such members shall serve for a term of two years and three members shall serve a term of four years, the respective terms of office to be determined by lot at the first meeting heldafter tike effective date of this or. dinance. Thereafter the term of office for each appointed mem- ber shall be for four years. RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS: One member of the Commission may be a non-resident of the City of Chubbuck who resides within one mile of the City limits of the City of Chubbuck, all other members shall be residents and taxpayers of the City of Chub. buck. Section 2: An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect upon its passage, approval and pub- lication as provided by law.
