Councilmember Lewis asked about ways to reduce the cost of meals. Visit Pocatello, Stephanie Palagi, gave a brief history of how Visit Pocatello started alongside with the auditorium district. Currently they are a separate visitor bureau for the area with one employee. Ms. Palagi explained their budget, where there support comes from and how they leverage that support through grants. They advertise in Canada, Utah, all over the Midwest. The promote conventions, sporting events and similar activities in the area.
