RESOLUTION No. 0 _S -2015 A
The City of Chubbuck entered into a Joint Powers Agreement ("Agreement") with the
Idaho Independent Intergovernmental Agency ("III -A") through which health insurance has been
provided for City employees.
Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, the City may elect to withdraw from membership
effective September 20, 2015 by giving written notice to the Authority no later than July 1, 2015.
The Agreement requires the notice of withdrawal be by resolution adopted by the City
Council expressly stating the City's intention to exercise its right to withdraw effective
September 30, 2015.
The City is reviewing proposals for health insurance from other providers and, while the
City does not preclude staying with the III -A plan past September 30, 2015, the City Council
believes it must protect the City's ability to pursue other options.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of
Chubbuck, Idaho as follows:
The City does herewith resolve to withdraw as a member of the Idaho Intergovernmental
Agency effective September 30, 2015.
Passed by the Council and Approved by the Mayor on June 11 , 2015.
