RESOLUTION No. 2014-01
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO,AMENDING THE RATES TO BE CHARGED BY THE
CITY FOR WASTEWATER COLLECTION AND TREATMENT SERVICES FURNISHED THROUGH THE
MUNICIPAL WASTEWATER SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, Section 13.04.020 of the Chubbuck Municipal Code provided that the rates for wastewater
collection and treatment services furnished through the municipal wastewater system shall be set by resolution:
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Chubbuck that effective, October 1,
2014, the monthly charges for this service shall be as follows:
WASTEWATER MONTHLY SERVICE RATES
Base Charge: $ 19.82 Per equivalent single family dwelling as reasonably determined by the Public Works
Director. No minimum charge shall be less than one(1) single family equivalent.
Volumetric Charge: $3.28 per one thousand gallons metered water for customers north of 1-86
$4.06 per one thousand gallons metered water for customers south of 1-86
Billing Charge: $1.50 per bill.
CONNECTION FEES
Each residential connection within present city municipal boundaries: $1,000 per equivalent single family dwelling
as reasonably determined by the Public Works Director.
Each residential connection without present city municipal boundaries: $5,490 per equivalent single family dwelling
as reasonably determined by the Public Works Director.
Each commercial or industrial connection within present city municipal boundaries: To be calculated by the Public
Works Director, taking the expected average flow per day, multiplied by each: a peaking factor of 1.69 and then
the cost of$2.28 per gallon per day flow.
Each commercial or industrial connection without present city municipal boundaries: To be calculated by the Public
Works Director based upon the equivalent single family dwelling unit.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHUBBUCK, IDAHO,
SUPPORTING THE CREATION OF A SPECIAL ASSISTANT UNITED STATES ATTORNEY PROGRAM FOR
SOUTHEAST IDAHO.
THIS RESOLUTION, is made on the date hereinafter set forth by the City Council of the City of
Chubbuck, Idaho.
RECITALS
1. WHEREAS,the U.S.Attorney's Office has limited ability to prosecute federal violent crimes in
southeast Idaho with its current number of assistant U.S.Attorneys; and
2. WHEREAS,the State of Idaho has committed to fund a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney("SAUSA")for
up to 75 percent of the cost of the SAUSA estimated to be$100,000; and
3. WHEREAS, a group of southeast Idaho cities and counties met on April 22, 2014, to evaluate the
feasibility of funding the remaining 25 percent of the cost of the Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the
amount of$25,000 per year; and
4. WHEREAS,the$25,000 cost would be shared by the southeast Idaho cities and counties in proportion
to a formula based on the populations in those jurisdictions. A copy of the proposed budget is attached
to this resolution; and
5. WHEREAS,the City Council believes that the addition of a Special Assistant U.S.Attorney in southeast
Idaho will enhance the ability of law enforcement to prosecute violent criminal offenders and
incarcerate them in federal prison thereby saving southeast Idaho cities and counties thousands of
dollars each year and improving the quality of life for the City's residents,
NOW THERFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The City Council of the City of Chubbuck hereby commits its support to the concept of creating the
SAUSA program and authorizes the mayor to attend future SAUSA meeting and negotiate with other
cities and counties to create and fund the position. The City Council reserves its right to approve or
disapprove a final agreement involving the creation and funding of the SAUSA.
