Land Use and Development Commission Meeting Minutes
November 10, 2015 - 7:00 pm
Minutes of the Land Use and Development Commission regular meeting held at Chubbuck City Hall,
5160 Yellowstone, on November 10, 2015.
Chairman Jason Mendenhall : Commission Members: Dan Stoddard, Jay Buttars, Todd Blackinton, Pete
Anderson. City Staff: Rodney Burch, Paul Andrus, Sean Harris. Attorney: Tom Holmes. Administrative
Assistant: Ranelle Simmons
Chairman Mendenhall called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
Blackinton led the commission in the Pledge of Allegiance.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: October 13, 2015
Mendenhall entertained a motion to approve the minutes as mailed. Buttars moved the minutes
of October 13, 2015 meeting be approved as mailed; Blackinton seconded. The full authority
approved.
GENERAL BUSINESS
1. Discuss 18.08.040 (A), Land Uses by Districts in the municipal code.
Andrus talked about the changes that have been requested by the commission.
Change suggestions from commission:
• Exercise salon and martial arts move to arts and entertainment section.
• Add aquatic center to rec center.
Conditional in C-1, Permitted in C-2, Conditional in Industrial
• Cemetery should be conditionally permitted everywhere.
• Diaper distributer changed to commercial laundry service.
A recycling center, vehicle storage site and salvage site were discussed.
Mendenhall entertained a motion. Anderson made a motion to move Section 18 to a public hearing. Jay
seconded. All voted in favor.
2. Review the changes to Chapter 13 and 14 in the Comprehensive Plan.
Mendenhall asked if there were any comments or concerns from commission. None, chapter 13 is
complete.
Chapter 14 had the year updated to 2030. Chapter is complete.
Mendenhall entertained a motion to adjourn; Anderson made the motion. Stoddard seconded. All voted
to adjourn at 7:20 pm.
