HomeMy WebLinkAbout002.10.15City of Chubbuck Land Use and Development Commission Meeting Minutes February 10, 2015 - 7:00 p.m. Minutes of the Land Use and Development Commission regular meeting held at Chubbuck City Hall, 5160 Yellowstone, on February 10, 2015. Chairman Peter Anderson: Commission Members: Dan Stoddard, Jay Buttars, Morris Kinghorn, Ron Horner, Jason Mendenhall, Bryan Nield. City Staff: Steve Smart, Paul Andrus, Sean Harris. Attorney: Tom Holmes. Secretary: Ranelle Simmons Chairman Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. Stoddard led the commission in the Pledge of Allegiance. APPROVAL OF THEM IN UTES for January 13, 2015 Anderson entertained a motion to approve the minutes as mailed. Mendenhall moved the minutes of January 13, 2015 meeting be approved as mailed; Horner seconded. Motion carries. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 1. An application by Idaho Central Credit Union, 4400 Central Way, Chubbuck, ID 83202 for Idaho Central Complex Preliminary Plat. Located in Section 10, Township 6 South, Range 34 East, Boise Meridian in the County of Bannock. This area is located at the south end of Burley Drive. Stewart Ward from Dioptra, 4737 Afton Place, Chubbuck, ID 83202 is representing the application. This is a 1 lot subdivision. Idaho Central Credit Union has purchased land around the building on Central Way. To meet federal regulations it will be platted as 1 parcel. Future plans are to expand their campus. Holmes asked if fire department and emergency responders would be able to access on Burley Drive. Ward stated they will be able to access Burley Drive along with the employees. Anderson opened the Public Hearing. No public comment. Public Hearing was closed and brought back to the commission for discussion. Smart informed the commission that Idaho Central Credit Union has petitioned for vacation of a section of Burley Drive on the south end and Victoria Circle. That Public Hearing with City Council is March 4, 2015. Nield made the recommendation to approve the application by Idaho Central Credit Union, 4400 Central Way, Chubbuck, ID 83202 for Idaho Central Complex Preliminary Plat. Located in Section 10, Township 6 South, Range 34 East including keeping Burley Drive open for fire access. Mendenhall seconded. The application will go before City Council on February 181h, 2015. GENERAL BUSINESS 1. The next Land Use meeting is scheduled for March 10, 2015. The Council Room is a polling location for the School Board Bond Election. Discuss when to reschedule the meeting. Meeting will be moved to Tuesday March 3rd at 7:00 pm. 2. Discuss changes to Comprehensive Plan Andrus asked commission if they wanted to have a public open house. Consensus was that the changes will be minor. After changes are revised by the Commission a Public Hearing will be held. Anderson entertained a motion to adjourn; Mendenhall made the motion. Nield seconded.
