HomeMy WebLinkAbout05 31 1984 CM65 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES May 31, 1984 Minutes of the adjourned city council meeting of May 30, 1984 held in the city municipal building May 31, 1984. Present: President of Council Becky A. Hopkins, Councilmembers Leroy S. Quick, Thomas S. Nield, Steven M. England, Engineer Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Ron C. Conlin. Councilman Quick excused until 4:10 p.m. Meeting called to order at 3:45 p.m. by President of Council Becky A. Hopkins. YELLOWSTONE AVE. PROJECT - Boyd Willsonand Brian Miller was present representing H.K. Contractors. Tim Swenson was present representing the State. After discussing the alternatives it was decided that the Bead Board or the one foot of Pumice was the best solution. Estimated cost is $45,000.00. Boyd Willson expressed concern of holding up the project. It was decided Engineer Smart would work with the State to get an agreement satisfactory to the State of Idaho and City of Chubbuck as soon as possible. After considerable discussion it was decided that the State, H.K. Contractors and Engineer Smart would decide which of the two alternatives would be the best solution and proceed. Engineer Smart would contact the Councilmembers Friday and advise them. At 4:48 p.m., Councilman England moved, Councilman Quick seconded, with full Council approval to adjorn meeting. John 0.
