COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
July 28, 1998
Minutes of a Special Council Meeting held at city municipal building, July 28, 1998.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Quick, Steven M. England, W. Dean
Wood, Marvin C. Gunter, Public Works Director Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Ron C.
Conlin. Attorney Thomas J. Holmes was excused.
Meeting called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF Special Meeting shall be to conduct a study session discussing the following:
1) Waiver of City Ordinance requirements - Bowen Petroleum Building - Burley and
Linden Ave. 2) Amending Day Care Ordinance. 3) 1998 -1999 Fiscal Year Budget.
WAIVER OF CITY ORDINANCE REQUIREMENTS - BOWEN PETROLEUM BUILDING -
BURLEY AND LINDEN AVES. - Mayor Cotant and Council were in agreement the City
should not vary from City Code.
AMENDED DAY CARE ORDINANCE - City Clerk Conlin stated the day care ordinance has
been read by title, one time only.
1998 -99 GENERAL FUND FISCAL YEAR BUDGET - City Clerk Ron Conlin stated we are
within $27,706.00 of balancing the 1998 -99 Fiscal Year Budget.
Discussion about ways to balance the budget:
1. Requiring I% of every departments budget.
2. Employees pay a portion of health insurance.
3. Salary increase be decreased by I%.
At 7:15 p.m., Councilman Gunter moved, Councilman Wood seconded, with full council
approval to adjourn meeting.

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50 -604, the undersigned Mayor of the City of Chubbuck,
Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal
Building, at the hour of 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, the 28th., day of July, 1998. The purpose of the
special meeting is for Chubbuck City Council to conduct a study session on the following
regular Council Meeting Agenda Items, 1) Bowen Petroleum Building - Burley and Linden Ave.
2) Day Care Ordinance and 3) 1998 -99 Fiscal Year Budget.
