Minutes of a Special Meeting held at the Chubbuck City Council Chambers, October 15`h, 2002.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Quick, Steven M. England, Marvin
C. Gunter, B. Kent Kearns, Attorney Thomas J. Holmes and City Clerk Ron C. Conlin.
Meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF SPECIAL MEETING is to 1) Go into executive session meeting as authorized by
Idaho Code 67 -2345 (b), regarding Fire Department personnel issues. 2) To discuss Fire
Department personnel issues.
EXECUTIVE SESSION MEETING - At 5:31 p.m, Councilman Quick moved to go into
executive session meeting as authorized by Idaho Code 67 -2345 (b) to discuss Fire
Department personnel issues, Councilman Gunter seconded. Roll Call Vote: Quick, yes;
England, yes; Gunter, yes; Kearns, yes.
Fire Department personnel discussion.
No final action or decision was made.
At 6:45 p.m, Councilman Gunter moved to adjourn from executive session meeting to regular
meeting, Councilman England seconded. All council members voted in favor of motion.
Regular meeting was called to order at 6:45 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL DISCUSSION - Thursday, October 10', 2002 Fire Chief
Eric King was relieved of his duties as Fire Chief and transferred to work in City
Maintenance Shop by Mayor Cotant.
Mayor Cotant and Council discussed Eric King being reinstated as Chubbuck Fire Chief.
After discussion, Councilman Gunter moved to 1) Reinstated Eric King as the Chubbuck
Fire Chief. 2) The EMS Program will continue, pending the EMS Program being
discussed at the October 22"d, 2002 Council Meeting, Councilman Kearns seconded. All
council members voted in favor of motion.

At 6:51 p.m, Councilman England moved, Councilman Kearns seconded, with full council
approval to adjourn meeting.

CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING
CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50 -604, the undersigned Mayor of the City of Chubbuck,
Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Municipal
Building, at the hour of 5:30 p.m, on Tuesday, the 15`" day of October, 2002. The purpose of the
special meeting to 1) Go into executive session as authorized by Idaho Code 67 -2345 (b)
regarding Fire Department personnel issues. 2) Open Meeting to discuss Fire Department
