COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
July 8 ", 2003
Minutes of a Special Meeting held at the Chubbuck Works Conference Room, June 10 ', 2003.
Present: Mayor John O. Cotant, Council members Leroy S. Quick, Steven M. England, Marvin
C. Gunter, B. Kent Kearns, Public Works Director Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Ron
C. Conlin. Attorney Thomas J. Holmes was excused.
Meeting was called to order at 6:05 p.m. by Mayor Cotant.
PURPOSE OF MEETING was to discuss 2003 -2004 Fiscal Year Budget.
2003 -2004 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET - Fire Chief Eric King presented his proposed 2003 -2004
Fiscal Year Budget Fire Department Budget.
FC King presented several Grants that have been applied for.
FC King suggested the City look at the possibly of refinancing any Fire Department
loans.
CC /T Conlin was directed to look into any savings that refinancing loans the City has at
this time.
CC /T Conlin stated with the additions /subtractions the Fire Department is asking for,
there is approximately $18,000. additional, not including salaries to the Fire Department
2003 -2004 Fire Department Budget.
PWD Smart suggested Mayor Cotant and Council consider hiring either a part time or full
time individual to help Building Inspector Ray Griffin. PWD Smart stated revenues have
been higher than budgeted every year.
At 7:10 p.m, Councilman England moved, Councilman Quick seconded, with full council
approval to adjourn meeting.

CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50 -604, the undersigned Mayor of the City of Chubbuck,
Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of the City Council to be held at the Chubbuck Public
Works Conference Room, at the hour of 6:00 p.m, on Tuesday, the 8', day of July, 2003. The
purpose of the special meeting to discuss 2003 -2004 FY B dget.

Pursuant to the call set forth above, notice is hereby given of a special meeting of the
Chubbuck City Council at the time and place, and for the object, recited in the call.
