August 9', 2007
Minutes of a Special Meeting held at the Chubbuck City Council Chambers, August 9 ', 2007.
Present: Mayor Steven M. England, Council members Leroy S. Quick, Kent Kearns, Dennis
Stoddard, Richard Morgan, Public Works Director Steven M. Smart and City Clerk Ron
C. Conlin. Attorney Thomas J. Holmes was excused.
Meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Mayor England.
PURPOSE OF THE SPECIAL MEETING is to conduct a 2007 -2008 FY Budget Study Session.
2007 -2008 PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR BUDGET - Mayor England stated he visited with
Department Heads, after getting their recommendations he recommends the Council take
the maximum allowed in property taxes, $3,170,871.
Discussion about last year's Departments increases.
Councilman Kearns explained how he came with the percentages to departments.
Discussion about level of service of each of the departments.
Councilman Morgan stated he would feel comfortable if the amounts given to each of the
departments be tagged to specific line items.
Councilman Kearns moved to accept the maximum amount on property taxes, $3,170,871
which includes the 3 %, New Construction, Annexation and Forgone amounts for the
2007 -2008 Tentative Budget, with discussion about how the additional property taxes
will be distributed at following meetings, Councilman Quick seconded. All council
members voted in favor of motion.
At 6:00 p.m, Councilman Morgan moved, Councilman Stoddard seconded, with full council
approval.

CITY OF CHUBBUCK
Pursuant to Idaho Code Section 50 -604, the undersigned Mayor of the City of Chubbuck,
Idaho, hereby calls a special meeting of the City Council to be held in the Chubbuck City
Council Chambers, 5160 Yellowstone, Chubbuck, Idaho at the hour of 4:30 p.m, Thursday,
August 9th, 2007 to conduct a 2007 -2008 FY Budget Study Session.
