Council Meeting Minutes
May 28, 2013
7:00 p.m.
Minutes of a regular Council Meeting held at the Chubbuck City Council Chambers, May 28,
2013.
Present: Mayor Steven England, Council Members: Josh Ellis, Kevin England, Brent Marshall,
Kermit Morrison. Attorney Thomas Holmes, City Clerk Rich Morgan.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by Mayor Steven England.
The Invocation was offered by Bishop Kim Guymon of the 2 "a Ward of the Chubbuck Stake of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was led by Dallin Lewis from Troop 330 of the Boy
Scouts of America.
Approval of Minutes. Council Member Morrison moved to approve the regular meeting
minutes of April 23, 2013. Member Marshall seconded. Roll call vote: England -yes, Ellis -
Absent (late arrival) yes, Marshall -yes, Morrison -yes.
Service Award for George Merrill. Mayor England presented a service award to George
Merrill for his 4 years of serving on the Land Use Commission.
Land Use Commission Appointments. Mayor England presented the names of Rodney Burch,
5402 Stuart, and Dan Stoddard, 934 Old Glory Way, for confirmation to 4 year terms on the
Land Use Commission.
Council Member England moved to confirm the appointments to the Land Use Commission.
Council Member Morrison seconded. Roll call vote: England -yes, Ellis -yes, Marshall -yes,
Morrison -yes
Cooperative Fire Agreement between the BLM, US Forest Service, and the City of
Chubbuck.
Council Member Ellis would like additional information and moved to table the approval of the
cooperative agreement. Council Member Marshall seconded. Roll call vote: England -yes, Ellis -
yes, Marshall -yes, Morrison -yes
Ordinance #722 to conform 13.08.070 to the general deposit section of 13.04.090. A
discrepancy was found between code sections concerning the City's utility deposit. This update
corrects that discrepancy.
Council Member Ellis moved to waive the rule the ordiance be read on three separate occasions
n, one being in full. Council Member Morrison seconded. Roll call vote: England -yes, Ellis -yes,
Marshall -yes, Morrison -yes

Council Member Ellis moved to adopt ordinance #722. Council Member Marshall seconded.
Roll call vote: England -yes, Ellis -yes, Marshall -yes, Morrison -yes
Computer printout claims for May 28, 2013 were presented to Mayor England and Council.
Council Member England moved to approve the claims as published. Council Member Marshall
seconded. Roll call vote: England -yes, Ellis -yes, Marshall -yes, Morrison -yes.
At 7:55pm Council Member England moved to Adjourn. Council Member Morrison seconded
and the full Council approved.
